Further Details

"We're aware that some individuals are having problems using Messenger, Workplace Chat, and Instagram DMs," Meta, Facebook's newly titled parent company, said in a statement. We're working hard to restore normalcy as soon as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience."However, within a few hours, all of the platforms were up and running again. According to DownDetector.com, most users were unaffected.

"Earlier today, some people may have had problems using Workplace Chat, Instagram DMs, and Messenger," according to another statement. We worked immediately to resolve the problem for everyone who was affected. We understand that people and businesses all over the world rely on our services, and we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.”

Facebook, Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp were all down for roughly six hours just a month ago, making it one of the company's longest outages in history. Furthermore, the incident occurs less than a week after CEO Mark Zuckerberg renamed the parent business to Meta in an attempt to shift the corporation's focus to the metaverse. And the repercussions from whistleblower Frances Haugen's released documents about Facebook and Instagram's wrongdoings such as data sharing and the company's failure to respond continue.

Summing Up

These outages are rather concerning and cause massive hysteria among users. It is worth mentioning that while these social platforms are down there is a massive surge on Twitter. People all over the world flock to the platform to express their distress and cope with the situation by memes. We hope the company addresses the situation as soon as possible.
