Redmi Note 10T 5G: A Buyer’s Guide

Redmi Smartphones are known to be jam-packed with premium features while being budget-friendly. Xiaomi is one of the only tech companies that does not compromise on features and launches affordable devices. Consumers had been waiting anxiously for the tech giant’s take on 5G technology. While most smartphone manufacturers have cut down on features to lower the cost, that does not seem to be the case with the Redmi Note 10T 5G.

In China, the Redmi Note 10T 5G is known as the Redmi Note 10 5G, and it was released in May of this year. Xiaomi appears to have postponed the introduction of this model in India till the remainder of the Note 10 series has been released.

Specifications & Other Details

The 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model of Xiaomi's Redmi Note 10T 5G costs Rs 13,999 in India. A 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model for Rs 15,999 is also available. Given that both models are priced similarly to the Poco M3 Pro 5G and Realme Narzo 30 5G, the cost isn't noteworthy. The device is available in four colors, Chromium White, Graphite Black, Metallic Blue, and Mint Green.

The Redmi Note 10T 5G has a compact profile and weighs 193 g. Xiaomi's understated approach, complete with a matte-finished rear, looks and feels rather expensive. The plastic back is an issue but the front Gorilla Glass 3 panel is the polar opposite.

The 6.5-inch full HD+ display on the Redmi Note 10T 5G offers a 90Hz adaptive refresh rate. To improve battery life, Xiaomi claims it can change the refresh rate between 30, 50, 60, and 90Hz. The camera is housed in a hole-punch cutout on the display, although it's not as tiny as those on the other Redmi Note 10 devices. Because it isn't a Super AMOLED display like the rest of the Redmi Note 10 series, the Always-on-Display functionality isn't available. The phone is capable of carrying out iOS transfers with ease.

A single speaker is located at the bottom, while an IR emitter and a secondary microphone occupy the area at the top. The 3.5mm headphone port is likewise located on the top of the device. Like the rest of the Redmi Note 10 series, the fingerprint reader also serves as a power button. Although the phone has dual 5G standby, it also has a hybrid dual-SIM slot.

With a 48-megapixel main camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, this phone features a triple camera system. An 8-megapixel camera handles selfies.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10T 5G comes with a 5,000mAh battery and a 22.5W charger. However, charging power is restricted to 18 watts, compared to 33 watts on other versions in the series. Xiaomi's MIUI 12, which is based on Android 11, is installed on the phone.

The Bottom Line

The Redmi Note 10T 5G seems nothing special when compared to its competitors. There are only minor upgrades from its predecessors hence if you have no use for 5G then you can skip on this device.
