Which One Should You Get?

Now, some of you already might have picked your winner from the specs mentioned above, but still, let's about it some more.

Software:

We can clearly see that the S10e just crushes the Pixel 4a in the specs and these phones are pretty similarly priced at this time. So, I simply can't recommend the Pixel 4a over the S10e, the S10e just provides so much more value for its price, it's just better in every aspect, except for the software maybe.

I say "maybe" here, because it's more of a personal preference thing between the two operating systems. Both of these phones do run on Android, the Pixel provides a stock Android experience, which is really liked by most people. Galaxy S10e on the other hand runs Samsung's one UI, which is good, it provides a lot of good small features, which some people find really convenient, but these small features make it a little heavy for the CPU.

So, if you don't have any preference in this area and I were to explain to you what the experiences would be like on these two different platforms, then I'd say that the Pixel would be a little smoother than the galaxy, because it's not running a lot of stuff in the background, but that's it, the performance would actually be better on the Galaxy S10e as it is packing a better chipset and GPU.

Cameras:

The competition gets close in the camera department. You can't just choose which phone captures better photos and videos, both of these have got different things to offer.

The Pixel 4a has Google's software, which takes truly fantastic photos, photos that are just perfect. On the other hand the Galaxy S10e takes great photos too, they're just not as good as the Pixel's, but they're close. The S10e also offers an ultrawide perspective, which some people find really useful, it also offers 4K@60fps on both the rear and the front cameras, whereas, the Pixel only offers 4K@30fps on the rear camera.

Build Quality:

The Pixel 4a has a plastic body, which is good, kinda durable, but not as good as metal and glass. Plastic might be more shatter resistant than glass, but it's not more scratch resistant, glass and metal are also more premium materials in smartphones.

On the front, the Pixel 4a has Gorilla glass 3, the S10e, on the other hand, has Gorilla glass 5, which is better and stronger overall.

The Galaxy S10e also has IP68 certified water and dust resistant, which is another plus point over the Pixel 4a.

Conclusion

Through this article, it might feel like that the Pixel 4a is not a good phone, but that's not the case. It is a really good phone for it's price, moreover, Google isn't really famous for it's hardware but Samsung is. Google's magic lies in the software, from that perspective, I don't think that the phone is going to be anything less than a treat. So, if you like the Google Pixel 4a and don't have any problems with its hardware, then you can surely go for it.

One thing to note about the S10e is that, while you can get it for a little more than $400 at this point, it wasn't originally available at this price. It was launched at $749, around ₹55,000, this price point explains the stuff that the phone comes with. But now that it is much cheaper than before, it makes the Pixel 4a looks like it's not doing for its price.
